Many companies use unsuitable cleaning agents, mostly aggressive solvent-based cleaners, for their wrapping machines. You might not be aware that unsuitable cleaner can damage your equipment, accelerate wear and tear or even cause unintended reactions with primers and adhesives. Apart from possible damages to the machines, aggressive cleaners can also do harm to the operators, that have not been trained on the safe handling of those chemicals.

TAKA is offering an alternative cleaner that has been specifically developed for the professional cleaning of profile lamination machines.
It is free of hazard labels and offers safe handling for the operators. As the cleaning of the slot nozzle is a task that must be done continuously even during short production stops, the Cleaner WPR works best on hot surfaces like the application lips of the glue head. Just spray the cleaner onto the external parts of the slot nozzle and wipe off any residues of the hotmelt glue with a cotton cloth.

For more resistant residues of cured glue, you can also place the dirty metal parts in a cleaner bath at 60°C for one hour and then remove the impurities easily. This procedure is ideal for parts of slot nozzles, filters, clamps and tool holders or any other metallic machine parts. The big advantage is that the parts are gently cleaned without the risk of damages while trying to scrape off the dirt.

Finally, Cleaner WPR is also suitable for the cleaning of primer dosing systems that are operated with low-VOC primers of TAKA’s WPN series. Just flush out the primer and then purge the system with the Cleaner WPR to remove residues of primer and resins. This way you can guarantee the continuous and regular flow of primer making sure that the intended quantity is applied on the profile.
